RTW ticket or not?
My question is whether I should buy a rtw plane ticket for me from the Uk. This would prove that I have onward connections and hopefully this will solve the problems. Otherwise do I just buy returns and try to get the return leg refunded. If i did this for my first leg from the Uk to Newark, USA, who do people recommend i fly with.
Hope someone can help answer my queries |

Hi Paul,
In June this year I flew into JFK from Heathrow via Dublin with Aer Lingus, cost something like 169 English Pounds one way. The downside is a long day with an early start. I had to obtain a USA visa because I was flying in and would be transiting out through Mexico with my Moto. Some motorcyclists take the chance and don't obtain the visa, but if you look at USA website it will all be explained. For me, obtaining a USA Visa involved a 27 day wait for an appointment at their London embassy and cost some!!!!!!! Yours Alec Blown to pieces in Patagonia

I'd recommend a RTW ticket as well. A couple of years ago we bought two tickets. Uk to Thailand, Singapore to Christchurch NZ, Auckland to Fiji, Fiji to Raratonga, Raratonga to LA, Winnipeg to Boston, Boston via Heathow to Dublin. Very cheap compared to buying individal flights and because they were all scheduled flights very easy to change dates and destinations when plans changed. LB.

"Cheap" and "one-way" are mutually exclusive. I don't think you can get the unused return leg refunded, either.
