Portsmouth to Santander - NEW ROUTE!

You guys probably know, but Brittany Ferries are starting a new route from Portsmouth to Santander in March 2009. Great news for anyone living in the South East of our fair isle. The crossing will take 24 hours, rather than the 36 hour 'cruise' that P & O offer. Timetables and prices should be available for March this week, with the rest of the year available a couple of weeks later. If Brittany Ferries prices from Plymouth to Santander are anything to go by, the new crossing should be a great saving over P & O. Not sure if you have to book accomodation though, as thats what bumps the price up (personally I find after a few s the cheaper reclining seat option works fine!) At least it saves the long slog through France if you have a time limit to get to Morocco etc. Hope this is of interest. See you in the sand!

That is good news.
The run to Plymouth meant having to put an extra day into the itinerary.
Santader is great for the Picos on the first day or two
Thanks for the info

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
