Possible transport from Cape Town to South America
 

Can anyone recommend a reliable shipping company in Cape Town. Preferably Airfreight. Required transport for 750cc Africa Twin Motobike from Cape Town to anywhere in South America.

Most use Malaysian Airlines from CT to Buenos Aires. Their representative in CT is Shireen, I have his number if you can't get it from the airline.

He will refer you to Brad at Custom Crating to crate your bike, they are located out by the airport and you drop your bike there and they truck it over to airline for shipping. Flights to BA are twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays I believe. You are the one who is most incented to get the shipping size down to it's minimum, they are most interested in getting it out the door as easy as possible.

Shipping rates have gone up (a story that you'll hear repeatedly). Almost to the point where it makes more sense to go to other destinations. You should look into other cities such as Santiago as well. I considered Sao Paulo but the customs process is less efficient than BA and in the end wasn't worth it for me.
