Panama to Equador
 

Hi,
this is Uli, a German, riding from Alaska to Argentina.
Does anyone got actual information concerning shipping a bike from Panama to Equador by air freight...?

By the way, I am also searching for someone, who is heading the same way. At the moment I am in Playa del Carmen for a rest, going forward in December, riding a GS.

is the a reason that you want to miss out on colombia ? it is one of the best countrys .i know a lot of people flly there bikes from panama to colombia. i was there in january and was quoted $901 for the bike so i went on a boat.

I agree. Fly or boat to columbia. I just went through and it is safe , friendly and beautiful.

Colombia was fantastic and as the othe replies state it is very safe. We came from Cartagena to Panama in September on the Stahlratte and has a great time. Good boat, captain, food and lots of room.

I am wondering if anyone has info about equador to panama? I am looking foreword to seeing colombia, maybe a new route.

Hi,
when are you heading to South America? We'll be going there in October. Hopefully going to be crossing over from Columbia to Panama Feb/March 2012. Probably using the ship reccommended by Ken & Carol Duval.
Maybe we'll catch up?
