Overland Solutions

Hi Folks. Been trying to get hold of ERnie at Overland Solutions after seeing his stuff at the UK weekend earlier this year but have not been able to get an answer on the phone or by e-mail. Have tried for the last few days now. Anyone know if they are still OK? Is there a better time to call to catch them? Thanks! Simon

Where is Ernie?

Hi Simon, I need to get hold of Ernie as well. My bike was one of the two Transalps on his stand at the HU meet is June and I need to do a few mod's. We found he was very busy and indeed very hard to pin down. If I can I will send you a pm with his mobile number. Ok, just hang in bud

Got the PM - great!

I have my F650 provisionally booked in to get the 'Overland Treatment' in November and need to confirm things!

I'll post a note on any response tomorrow.

Poor Ernie !

Simon,
I got to talk with the man, no Legend, himself this very morning. He is still in business but has been off sick, some hospital time it seems, however for all who know him I can report he is well and on the road to recovery. He tells me he hopes to be up and running in a couple of weeks. So that is good news.

All the best Ernie, if you get to read this.

Ernie

Me too! Good to hear he is OK and on the mend. One of life's 'nice guys'! My F650 is booked in with Ernie to be 'Africa'd' starting 10th November 2007 - really looking forward to getting the 'bike back as the quality of what he had done to the bikes at the HU Weekend was outstanding. Terrific attention to small details that make a difference to the useability of the finished article!
I think we have settled on hard panniers but with a rack to take a pair of fuel and water jerry cans rather than a top box with a flat rack behind the cans to strap an Ortlieb bag across. Simon

I got the 3rd or 4th rack setup he made for BMW's, back in 2002. I have NEVER seen anything even remotely as good as what I have. It's VERY worth the wait. I think mine took 6-8 months, but he was in the startup phase at that point.

Go Ernie! Hope you are well.
