one way, or cheap ticket, BsAs - Tokyo

hi,

has anyone an idea where i can get a cheap ticket from Buenos Aires (Argentina) or Sao Paulo (Brazil) to Tokyo (Japan).

I will fly one way in mid april. I am in Sao Paulo at the moment, but think of going back to BsAs.

Prices so far have been high, cheapest 1400 USD plus tax.

Any idea ? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Mika

I don't know if you have already tried this, but it is usually cheaper to buy a round-trip ticket and throw away the return portion, than to buy a one-way ticket. The airlines have bizarre pricing rules, but check out the prices on return tickets. Unfortunately, the route you are taking doesn't have a lot of competition on it!

hi susan,

yes, ticket pricing is just so much made for the two week package tour.

i am still in sao paulo - and have found an offer today. a one year open return ticket to Europe for a resonable price - 700 usd - My girlfriend checked prices in Europe to fly to Japan one way and with a bit of luck I will get a good deal.

Yeah, cheapest is to fly to Europe and than buy a ticket there.

Pricing depends so much from where you fly and South America is not cheap for tickets - but I am fighting my way thru this ;-)

just to leave the bike here longer than 180 days will be illegal, but I will start to think about that when I am back in november - this is South America and there always is a way ;-)

greetings and thanks for the reply

MIKA
