Freighting of bikes Morocco - Jhb South Africa

My son and I recently completed a trans African tour from Cape Town to Casablanca (17/11/2010 - 13/01/2011). Our motorbikes are currently being stored in Casablanca. They are two Kawasaki 650 KLR bikes each weighing approximately 180Kg and each bike will fit in a 3 cubic meter container. All the original registration papers for the bikes as well as the Carnet de passage are with the motorbikes and they have stamps indicating that we entered Morocco.

If anyone could assist us with contacts of businesses who could freight the bikes back to South Africa at reasonable rates please contact us.

Your assistance will be highly appreciated..

Kind Regards
Kobus Jacobs

Freight.

Hi, it is a long shot but it's worth contacting Stefan who at least might have a recommendation. Good luck. Welcome Lindsay.

Hi Kobus
I'm in pretty much the same position...even have the same bike

I came up the East Africa route and am currently in Spain on my way to Morocco. Don't know what to do with the bike once I'm done though. Might ride it back or ship it

If you figure out a cheap way of shipping, please let me know as well. If we can ship together for a better price that would also work. I'm also not in any rush.

Beste groete. Hou my asb op hoogte en ek sal dieselfde doen
Neville

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
