Magadan to Vladivostok (and onwards)

I am currently researching transport from Magadan to the US for my own RTW trip next year. A contact I made in Russia put me on to DVS Tours in Magadan who can arrange boat transport from Magadan to Vladivostok. The journey time is 3 days and the cost for bike and rider is €600 (this year).

The details are;
Victoria Belger
DVS-TOUR Ltd
685000, Russia, 3 Lenin str, office 241, Magadan
tel/fax +7 (4132) 62-32-96, 62-11-95
cell. 8 914 862 8920
DVS Tours

email: travel [AATT] dvs-tour [DDOOTT] ru

If anyone uses this company/route in 2009, please give feedback about your experiences with them, and the route itself.

Also, if anyone has any information about companies with DIRECT shipping routes to the US from Vlad, please post them in this thread. I will continue to research this myself and will also post any 'live' posibilities.

btw: there are plenty of threads running for journeys via Korea or Japan so lets try and keep this one to direct Siberia/US routes.

Do you think that dvs can make the reverse trip, I mean to get me (and my motorcycle) from Vladivostok to Magadan (A friend and I want to road the ROB).

I am pretending to be in Vladivostok in June 2010.

About your trip, as you said, it is possible to take a flight from Japan or Korea to Los Angeles or Seattle. You must take a ferry (is possible and not too much expensive) from Vladivostok to Japan or Korea.

At this time, I am investigating about a possibility to take a flight (principally for your motorcycle) from Vladivostok to USA. I will let you know if I get something.

Magadan - Vladivostok

3 days seems a bit short.

Shipped bikes from Magadan to Vladivostok this year and was promised 5 days. It turned out to be 7. A guy I knew took the return journey and it took him 6 days.

FESCO is the biggest shipping company in the Russian Far East and both journeys above used them.

German guy I met in Vladivostok shipped his bike to the US, but had to pay for a full 20 foot container ... about 3000 USD. He found someone to share it with so halved his costs in the end. Not sure who he used ... maybe also FESCO?

You can also fly bikes, but you have to strip them down, remove all oil, petrol and acid batteries, and then crate the bikes. Vladivostok Avia flies Magadan-Vladivostok. My enquiries had that working out about 1000 EUR a bike

Magadan-Vladivostok shipment (or, vice-versa)

Hi everybody!

I had shipped my Land Rover 5 days ago from Magadan to Vlad and it has just arrived last night. FESCO is the name of the biggest shipping company in this part of the world but, you have to contact their agent Transfes. Their contact infos are as follows :

Vladivostok Office:

Transfes Maritime Agency
Address : 1B Nizhneportovaya Str.
Contact person : Dmitriy Rykov
Office :+7 4232 22 96 97
Mobile : +7 914 6968215
E-mail : sales@tma.ru
website : ÇÀÎ «Òðàíñôåñ» — ìîðñêèå ïåðåâîçêè ãðóçîâ, êîíòåéíåðíûå ïåðåâîçêè, òàìîæåííîå îôîðìëåíèå.
GPS coordinates : N 43° 06.761' E131° 53.002'

Magadan Office:

Address : Portovaya street 38
Office : +7 4132 607734, 634986, 631993
E-mail : transfes@magadan.ru
GPS coordinates : N59° 33.831' E150° 46.646'

You can directly contact to Dmitry in Vlad. He can quote better price then their office in Magadan. They can also ship your vehicle to US (or wherever) from Vlad. Mine will be shipped to Vancouver.
DVS-Tour (Victoria and Olga) is just a travel agency.
Safe journey
