Hi guys,
has anyone got a good contact (+nbr) at Lufthansa Cargo?
I am battling to get my bike from Hong Kong to Europe (Germany) as everyone wants to ship it as dangerous good, drain everything etc... and I want to tell the Lufthansa cargo guys here to speak to someone who knows how to ship them.
I should be off accross Europe, Central Asia and Back in Asia in less than 3 weeks but haven't yet got a solution to ship the bloody bike!

That´s the way it is....as far as I know. We had to get the gasoline out, disconnect the battery etc....But it was not to complicated.

I have another idea: Buy a used bike here in Germany. I can help you with the paperwork, I did it several times for other guys. Which bike would you like?

Start in May and come to the first HU Meeting in Germany!

Thanks Jens. I am ok with draining the petrol tank and taking out the battery but when it comes to draining the oil (and i don't even want to think about gear oil etc...), I really start to doubt.
I have been in contact with the BMW dealer here and they tell me they receive their bike with some petrol, the battery and oil and all in it.
I can't really buy a bike now as I am too advanced in the preparation with that bike and I wouldn't have time to buy one, get the docs etc... but thanks for the help.
I will try DHL, there is a guy that apparently looks after bike shipping in Germany.
Any Lufthansa Cargo contact?
