Shipment South Africa to Oz

Hi there,

anybody got some information on shipping or flying a bike from Durban or Joh'burg/South Africa to Perth/Oz? I couldn't find anything in the HUBB.

Thx
Hans

I have nothing yet - intend air from Sydney to Joh'burg Dec 2006.

Joh'burg looks to be the main airport/centre so should be cheapst from there for air.

Good Luck

Yep, Johburg is the main airport, but lots of airlines go directly to Capetown, esp. the charter lines.

As for me, I'd prefer to go to Oz by boat, but the flight will probably be cheaper.

When do you plan to arrive in SA?

Still in the planing stages. Probably arrive Dec 06 to Jan 07. Around abouts. Presently working out a time table with the various options of what countries to go through.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
