Shipping a bike from Caracas, Venezuela

Is it possible to air freight a motorcycle from Caracas to Panama City or San Jose Costa Rica? What airlines is best? Any idea of costs?

I used Air Freight International SA for shipping my bike from Caracas to Miami in 2005. They were helpfull. AFIsa is located on the far end of the airport.

Good luck,

Mart Heijnens

Wanna send to UK/ Europe.
I was told from few agents that by sea is impossible due to drug problems.
The only broker I found use aircargo and want almost 4000$(2400 if exchange cash on black market).
Do you know any better option?

Yes, you are right, madness is the best expression for shipping from Venezuela. I decided to move back to Colombia and try luck there then wasted lot of time contacting companies advertised on internet, but have no idea how to deal with motorbikes. Finally I found buddy who wanted to buy a bike and we completed transaction at the border in Paraguachon.
Now back home, next time will be smarter not to end the trip in this area.

There is also offers time to time sharing a container whic it could be a lot cheaper than LCL consolidated cargo
Hey Gaston.....I'm looking to air freight my bike from Colombia to Miami, Houston or some other city in southern US. What company gave you the quote from Barranquilla? Any other info you have on this would be helpful...

Thanks!

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
