From Bali/Nusa Tenggara to Oz?

Hi, now in Bali, getting a bit short on visa time, so trying to sort out some transport for our bike to Australia. (And theres even a possibility that there are altogether 3 bikes to be sent, as I know of 2 aussies heading the same way - but not sure, exactly when they want to send, I need to talk to them once they get here).

I checked out the shipping pages, and theres something there that might work, I will see about that.

The bike came from Malaysia to Sumatra on a small cargo boat (shipping onions), and the service was all in all very good, didnt cost too much, and we did not need to crate the bike. Something like this could be what I'm looking for, but the problem (as ever!) is how to get in talks with the right people.

Its possible that Bali is too far away from Australia that any small cargo ships would go that way, so then we'd probably have the option to go to Kupang (or elsewhere in Nusa Tenggara) if we can find a solution there. But the problem is, we dont have enough time to go there and start asking. There should be a ferry from Bali to Kupang, but its only twice a month, and the exact date when it'll leave, seems like anyones guess! Going there via the small islands sounds nice, but once again we'd run out of time, and the weather seems to be quite rainy.

So if theres nothing solid to be found from here, then we'll probably head to East Timor, and hope the land border is open, and the Perkins ships will stop in Dili as scheduled (that plan also has a lot of what-ifs!!)

A friend of mine once sent his bike on some small airplane, but that required dismantling the bike quite a bit... think that might be worth considering, too, but the freight agents around here seem to have very little info on anything like this. Guess I'll need to go to the airport to ask about this.

Any knowledge of some cargo-boats (from anywhere in this region), that would leave within 1-2 weeks from now, and be able to take a bike / 3 bikes to Australia, would be greatly appreciated!
