Free crate (metal) in London

My bike will return from Oz on around the 7th May. It arrives into Tilbury from where i hope to ride it home. Failing that, I will bring the whole crate back to central London.

It is in a metal crate, which bolts together. If anybody wants it, they are welcome to it, but will need to collect it. It was from some Kawasaki but comfortably fits my 650 GS Dakar inside. In case you didn't know, metal is better than wood for crating as it doesn't need to be fumigated.

Let me know if you're interested.

Charles

Photos are here: Shipping back to the UK

Dimensions are 230 x 115 x 85 (l x h x w). It unbolts and goes quite flat for easy transport.

Looks like I should be able to ride it home, so collection would be from Basildon on the 12th May.

Hi, I am a bit late off the mark but I am very interested in your crate - I need to ship a bike out to Australia and have been trying to track down a metal crate. Please send me a personal message or post some contact details here. Either way pls let me know whether the crate is still available or gone.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
