lol, that guy who posted the initial legal panama-colombia boat trip was a mate of mine! He had a great time -if I'd not been solo at that point I may have gone through Colombia, too.

Panama-Bogota by girag

I am in Bogota and my bike is still in Panama. Girag promised me yesterday when I delivered my bike that the process was simple and I would have my bike today. I flew avianca to Bogota for $301. Today Girag couldn´t find my bike, then they said it´s still in Panama.

Don´t believe their promises.

The Voyager hostel in Panama (via argentina, above the subway sandwich shop) has info on boats. I had a chance to take a catamaran from Puerto Bello to Colombia for $700, 5 days, food and adventure included, but I turned it down. I wish I hadn´t.

Hey Bananaman, that price from Puerto Bello to Colombia is for the bike and yourself? does it go to Cartagena?

I've been reading your posts in the last few months,(advrider ) they are incredible, buena suerte en tu viaje y ojala te guste Peru, mi pais.

Have you tried contacting the HU Community(on the left side of this page) for Panama City?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
