yes there is a ferry between Venise and Alexandrie , it take 3 days
|

I believe this ferry service was suspended last summer after only running a few months.
With the state of Libya and Syria and no other ferries - that is why Egypt a problem at the moment. |

I decided on shipping. Even with all its associated hassles it seems to be the only reliable way in. Will probably ship 1st week in May, so can provide an update on the “process” that side. Not sure which direct routes there are from the Med, but check the schedules as my research have shown some routes first go back to Europe before returning to Alex which for me meant shipping direct from UK is better.
