Hi Sabine, I'm just going to ship my Transalp from Hamburg to Valparaiso, Chile with the help of Martina from Villa Kunterbunt. The fees shouldn't be to high but still around the 150 euro's or something. My shipment will cost - with help from Martina - around the 850 euro's. Good luck, I will be leaving in four weeks!

hi ben,
my transalp is already in chile!

the port charges were:
Unstuffing: CLP 77.280
THC shipping agent in santiago: CLP 9.660
+ VAT (19%)

i asked to deliver it to my hom
DELIVERY ORDER FEE CLP 28.500

customs: 0 CLP
warehouse; 0 CLP

to rent a pickup is min. 35ooo CLP, they told me its not allowed to uncrate and rebuild in the warehouse, CHECK THAT OUT!!

you definitely do NOT need a customs-agent (or anybody else), as people might want you to take one...just take all you paperworks to the customs and here we go! a custom agent is about 150 USD!

have fun n see you on the road?
cheers, sabine

Valpo port

Hi, just wondered, our bike is due on Monday and we have been looking at hiring a ute to collect it (not going well) - did they give you the option on the day to deliver it to your house or how did you source this?

Thanks
Blake
