Current Shipping Cost Namibia to Ghana

Howdy

Just sharing some info....

Confirmed costs for shipping a 20' container from Walvis Bay to Tema is working out at €1464 + receiving costs in Tema - which i'm lead to believe would be in the region of €300.

Its expensive considering you could probably ship from South Africa to Europe for that price.

Cheers

Have no info on costs for shipping from India to Indonesia for same stuff

From what I can gather 2000 dollers will get you a 20' container pretty much from anywhere to anywhere + budget for 500 or 600 for clearance costs..

Destination and origin have a big impact on cost - some ports seem to be very expensive.

You'll need to do a fair bit of googling to nail it. Or get a shipping agent. The problem with the latter is you loose control by handing over to a 3rd party.

Start by picking a few ports that suit your travel needs - google the ports and be advised that ports like airports have their own specific names and and in some cases abbreviations.

Track down what companies serve your prefered ports - then track down their schedules - most have maps and schedules buried in their website.

If possible, before you look for prices, know what route you're after and pick a date from the schedule. My experience is that if you ask the shipping companies specific questions about specific routes - you'll get answers - global questions normally don't generate a response - bit like the Hubb :-)

So budget $3K as worst case and anything less than that is a bonus
