Crate required Brisbane
 

I'm air freighting my 1200GSA from Brisbane to Los Angeles in a few weeks, late Jan, early Feb, and looking for a crate ASAP. If anyone knows of one in SE Qld I'd appreciate if you can let me know. The BMW dealers have all cleaned up before Christmas so they have none at the moment.

Try the Yamaha dealers, I got 2 crates for a carton of beer to ship our bikes to Singapore. They are a steel base, with bolt on steel sides and top frame, with a cardboard cover over them. The dealer in Maroochydore throws them in a skip and gets the scrappy to come and take them away. Curt

I think Hemuli got one from Victory motorcycles (maybe in Sydney) for his BMW

Hi Curt and Fern,

Thanks for your replies. Ended up getting one from a BMW dealer at Spring Hill in Brisbane. The BMW dealer in Caloundra subsequently supplied me with a heap of tie-down straps.

I spent yesterday packing it all up and it will fly to LA tomorrow (Wed. 4th). I'll do a write up soon of the Freight Forwarder who was excellent and very helpful.
