Crate for free in Vancouver

Hi Folks,

I'm Matt from France, on a motorbike world tour started in France July 2010.

My bike will arrive by boat in Vancouver from Malaysia third week of may (planning to pick it up on the 17th of may)

I'll be glad to offer the crate to another traveller who's planning to ship his bike. it's a wooden crate (wood has been fumigated) witch fit for my 1150gsa.

The best option for me would be to uncrate the bike out of the port. I'm not sure battery will be good enough to start engine, maybe not enough pressure in tires and definitely not enough gaz to ride straight out of the port.

So anyone interested in a free crate !? I would just ask you to pick up the crate (and my bike inside) and bring it to a place where it's easy to uncrate the bike and check it before riding !!

I also have so many questions about riding in north america. My main concern right now is about insurance... Does anyone knows how to insure foreign registered motorbike ridden by a foreign driver... I've found some answers on the HUBB but always need an adress in Canada or US, what I don't have off course.

Any and all advices are welcome !!

Cheers,

Matt

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
