actual price bogota - panama (may 2010):
bike with GIRAG for 800USD (in the moment the only aircargo line for bikes on this rute) flight with COPA 350USD (oneway) 400USD (roundtrip) they didn't want to sell oneway (reason: panama migration)... agent in Bogota 200USD (Lyncargo Bogota) frienly stuff! take care with your gear at the antinarcotics control.  In our case the "officer" kicked our bag with hits boots to see if there are drugs in it...  (and they arrived 4hours after the shedule (so don't fly on the same day...) pero a si es la america)

has anyone checked flying from Barranquilla (big town north of Cartagena) to Panama with COPA?
I took this flight september last year while working in Barranquilla, wondering if they could fit in a bike as well, its only a short flight but a decent sized plane so could be a very cost competitive option to get across the Darien Gap.
