Cheapest way to send a bike from Oslo to New York??
 

Hey folks,
Oslo is the end of my journey in Europe (I bought my bike in the UK) and I'd like to take it back to New York. Time is on my side. Funds, by that time, will not be. So I'm wondering could I ship the bike and myself via cargo boat or something to New York?
Any idea of prices and the time span? I'm really looking for the least expensive option...
Also what kind of paperwork/bureaucracy should I expect once I get to American shores?

I decided to take a ferry from Denmark to Iceland and to ship the bike from Iceland to NYC..
