Question Bike trapped in Mongolia!

Hello All!
I am looking for advice and assistance concerning shipping my motorcycle from Ulaan Baatar Mongolia to Canada. In July 2006 I entered Mongolia riding my motorcycle but had some mechanical difficulties that delayed my departure. I was unable to ship it, and couldn’t ride it out because of the mechanical concerns and limited time left on my Mongolian visa. It is currently being stored in Ulaan Bataar and I need to find someone who can connect me with a company (or individual) that can arrange for it to be picked up, packed and sent to Lethbridge Canada.
It is a 1957 Changjiang with a sidecar and a 1972 BMW 750R engine. It is aprox. 500 kg and aprox. 6’ long 4’ wide and 3’ high. The sidecar can be detached for shipping. I have registration and ownership papers from when I purchased it in China; however no Mongolian papers as I was not given any when I entered the country.
I do hope you can help. If you cant, perhaps you can suggest someone who can.

Many thanks
Tamara Smith

I will be there at the end of June through middle of July...if you guys need anything, let me know, as I will be shipping my bike back to the states/Canada with another fellow via a container from Vlad...so if this can get trucked to Vlad we can then ship first week of August with us...
This is one option to consider...

Tamara, sorry to hear about your troubles. There is an HU member in U.B. If you click on the "contact a community" tab to the lower left of the page, you can contact the U.B. community. Best of luck! H.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
