Shipping from Toronto to London - any tips?

I'm planning a 6 week trip through Western Europe next summer and am trying to learn as much as possible (first-timmer). Any insights or tips on who I should ship with or things I need to know once I'm there would be appreciated!

Toronto to London Shipping

Niall, can't help you too much, but I have made enquiries with Kinetsu World Express in Toronto,re shipping my bike to Europe. They were up for it at the time,(2-3 yr ago),but I didn't pursue it as our situation and needs changed. Sorry,I can't give you any contact info, but they are in Toronto.
You could also contact Air Canada cargo for quotes and info.
All the best. Neil W
ps I'm near Woodstock if you are ever out this way.

Hi,

This is the reply I got from Motorcycle Express when I inquired about shipping from Canada to Europe. Not much use for me as I'm looking for ship transport but perhaps you may find it usefull.

USD $1,995.00

ROUND-TRIP from: Montreal,Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary / London, Manchester, Glasgow, Frankfurt, Paris, Munich, Dublin, Madrid, Rome, Athens, Nice

If you decide to ship to/from Canada, we can refer you to a travel agent who can book your passenger ticket on the same flight as your bike. For a quote, contact Julie at julie.derome@tourbec.com or call her at 450-622-0865 ext 226

Have a look at www. W2global it may mean riding over to Halifax but it takes about 6-7 days on the Ro-Ro to Liverpool and will cost about £850.00 including the port fees at each end and Canadian Affair does cheap flights from Halifax. Ride safe.

Toronto to London

Hi there

We came this route on the end of a RTW in 2009 and it was a breeze. Follow the link North America - The States

Go near the end of the update and it gives some information. I have the GPS coordinates for everywhere as well.

I think I have all the original paperwork in the journals and can dig it out if you want. Everything was done in one day.

We turned up at Air Canada in the morning and was on an Air India plane that night.

Regards

Bernard and Cathy

I've shipped my moto from Toronto to Europe (and back) several times with Motorcycle Express. The service has been good, very professional, no surprises.

I would use them again, and I recommend them to others. The price is not cheap, but they know what they are doing - they have been doing it for a long time.

you're going about this ALL wrong! hahaha... the best thing to do (which i've done 3 times without a hitch), is to fly into the city you want to start in, buy a used motorcycle, then sell it in the city you plan on flying out of. The first time i did it, i took a 300 Euro loss, and both subsequent times, i made enough profit on the bike to almost pay for the gas of the entire road trip. If you want any more advice, email me at michael dot appugliese at the google mail place.

Good Luck!!

Michael
