Hi Lynch180

Don't know about shipping from Ireland but Barcelona Pat is currently in South America - you can get his shipping information from his blog at Pat Around the Americas: The Admin

We shipped our bikes from Southampton to North America using Wallenius Wilhelmsen - they have other routes which include South America (idea of cost - UK to Baltimore one way was £575) - this is a RoRo which means that you don't have to crate or dismantle the bike but sadly it doesn't take passengers. Their routes are here Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics - North America & South America routes#

There are plenty of other ways/shippers etc you just need to spend a bit of time on Google.

Hi

Ro-Ro with Grimaldi Lines will take you and your bike from Tilbury-UK to BA-Argentina without mayor troubles apart of the long trip…
If not flight the bike and yourself is the right answer, see why here: Shipping the bike | Horizons Unlimited
Based in UK you have several forwarders who will take care about your shipping, at this side we use to receive many bikes from James Cargo Services Ltd.

Hi there,

I can receive your bike in Colombia if you ship it to Santa Marta. I can also ship it back to Europe (or anywhere else in the world for that matter) if you want. I have been shipping cars, campers and motorbikes for some 8 years now. Kind regards, Sander (sandergielen@gmail.com)

I did South america last november/december. used James Cargo to fly the bike to Buenos Aires. They are very good and you can drop the bike to their depot in manchester. Problem was getting the bike back as we hadnt pre booked!!! dont believe anyone who tells you that its easy to organise out there - I came back from Bogota and it was a pain getting a cargo handler and it was expensive
Anyway - I'm in dublin so happy to share any/all info experience from doing the trip. You will love it

Good man Brian,
Thanks for the reply, I shipped with James cargo in the end, and due to an error in my paper work,eg .............not stopping to get stamped into Mexico, I am parked up in La Paz, Baja. doh
Paper work is sorted now but will have to wait on till Tuesday for the next ferry to the main-land.
If Im stuck for info I will give you a shout:thumbup1:
