Airfreight Ghana to Ethiopia/Kenya - Horizons Unlimited

Has anybody got any information or experience on air freighting from Ghana to Ethiopia or Kenya.

Well, this isn't exactly a mainstream routing. We don't have any info from travellers who have done it. Is there some reason you're starting from Ghana?

My first look would be at DAS Air Cargo (part of ANA, which is UK based), has a website and scheduled flights between Accra and Entebbe, Uganda. E-mail: sales@ana-aviation.com or call them in the UK +44 (0)1293 547737. Their website is at www.dasair.com.

My second look would be one of the country airlines:

Given a choice of which country to fly into, I would recommend Kenya vs. Ethiopia from a paperwork/bureaucracy point of view.

Hi Susan
Thanks for the information.
The reason for the info is i plan to go from Morocco to South Africa. Ive gathered that travelling through Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Sudan on an bike is difficult/impossible as well as visa availability.

You might find some useful information on Peter and Kay Forwood's site. They went all through Africa in the early part of 2001 two-up on a Harley Davidson. Their route was the opposite direction to yours, but included Uganda, Congo, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger, Benin and Togo to Ghana. But it did take them almost 4 months to do this section of Africa, and some pretty horrific roads, so that's not necessarily a recommendation for the route.
