40ft HQ container share South to North America

We are looking at our options and beginning to plan the next stage of our adventures.

We are currently in Patagonia with an expectation of another 4 to 6 in south america.

Considering a container from either :

Chile or Ecuador >> Mexico or USA

Argentina >> Mexico or USA

does anybody else want to share a 40ft container at some point next year ?

does anybody have information or advice for these routes ? agents ? experiences ? etc?

thanks

phil.

punta arenas

Hi Mike
4 to 6 months!! Sorry about that.
We are currently in Punta Arenas, heading towards T.del Fuego.

We might make the Viedma meet, not sure of plans as yet.

Just to clarify, we are in an Iveco 4X4 and because of our height we have to use a Hi-cube container which are only readily available in the 40' length and so we only use about half a container's length.

Happy to share with another vehicle or if there were some bikers, we've got approx. 20' of container. At the moment it's just early planning and looking for possibilities though if we could find people to share it could force a pencilled idea into a definite plan.

Phil

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
