What documents do I need for West Africa round-trip?
 

Hi everyone, I want to buy a 50cc moped in Gambia and ride it around West Africa. I have a UK provisional license, so I doubt I will be able to get insurance for this trip. Anyway, I have a couple of questions about the rest of the paperwork involved:

1. Do I need to bother 'registering' a bike (second-hand or new) bought in Gambia, and if so, how painful and expensive would this process be?

2. What documents (other than visas) would I typically be asked for at the borders on a round trip of the 10 or so West African countries? What do I need to 'get sorted' before I leave?

Most visas can be purchased while on your trip, as for buying a bike forget it, you cant register it in that country, you cant take it over borders and you will have NO insurance and accidents WILL happen, so best advise is forget the bike and go by public transport.

what about a cow can you ride a cow or a donkey?
