Visa to Mauritania
Does anyone know how to get hold of a visa to Mauritania ? I am in the UK. Is it better to get one whilst still in the UK (& if so where from ?) or is it easier to get one in Morocco on the way through.
Appreciate any help - David.

a friend of mind got his from london phone up got an appointment the visa was issued in a couple of hours and cost £45 this was oct this year cheers chris

Hi David,
In spring 2001 I aplied for a Mauritanian visum in Rabat without problems. Show up in the morning with the usuall photo's and fees and receive the visum in the afternoon. Nice side-effect is that you can visit old colonial Rabat. I am Dutch, not sure if same regulations count for Brittons! Just hope Blair doesn't do any harm to the Mauritains.
