Venezuelan visa for Uk and or Aussie
Just heard from someone that the rules changed in middle of February and now Aussies need a visa to travel overland into Venezuela (at least from Colombia).
Did some research and UK website and consul says that UK citizens need a visa (she even went as far to say it's stated that on the website for 15 years!!) Aussie consul said they recommend getting one, but spoke to someone who'd been to Venezuelan Consulate in Bogota and were told flat out "NO! Only for Colombians!"
All the travel guides say it's not required.... so end story is...... what the f%^&?
Does anyone have first hand experience (in the last couple of weeks). I know friends that crossed no problems a couple of months ago.... but is that before this apparent change??
Yes, I know there's elections, yes I know there's unrest, yes I know everyone's scared to go... All the more reason I want to go... Less gringos ruining the experience for everyone else!
