US visa changes
if, like me, have an 'indefinite' tourist visa for the USA from a previous trip and thought you could carry on using it indefinitely, you may be in for a nasty surprise. The rules on these visas have recently changed, and some may no longer be valid. Lucky I decided to check!
I got this from the US embassy in London: 'The United States Government no longer issues "indefinite" validity visas. The maximum validity of a B-1/B-2 visa is now ten years. If the visa that you hold is an indefinite one, it will cease to be valid on the tenth anniversary of its issuance.' |
