TURKEY from GREECE Carnet de Passage?

Hello all,

I', planning on riding my transalp from Greece through Turkey along the Black Sea and back. I'll be in Turkey about 2 weeks. Do I need a Carnet de Passage at the Turkish border? Green Card insurance? I can't seem to find one definite answer on this. Thanks for any help. Best, S.

no need for carnet in turkey, and off course you need insurance, on the green card from your insurer it will be stated if its vallid for turkey or not, mine are!

Cheers
Haakon

Things in Turkey have changed from the 30th April

I'm also trying to put together a trip to Turkey but I'm hesitating now after seeing this.

Big K - What is making you hesitate? The link says that you can take it in for 6 months with just a V5 and insurance docs doesn't it or did I miss something?

Chnage in the Import Rules

By the way I read the text only section 2 , states that those people that comply with section 2 can bring a vehicle into the Turkey under the current rules.

All the other paragraphs, define the terms and conditions that those accepted people, ie; as noted in section 2 , can enter.

Or am I not reading it write...

What do you think..?

Has anyone tested this in recent months..?

1. You can bring a vehicle in for 180 days
2. If retired you can bring it in for 1 year
3. You then have to take it out again
4. But after six months can bring it in again
