Travel Health Insurance with bike cover!!

I have been trying to find personal insurance cover for a bike trip to Morocco for that last few weeks. Every policy I can find puts a max 125cc clause in the policy making the insurance void if I ride a bike over this capacity. Not a lot of use for an XT600!! Any cheap suggestions?

Many Thanks

Got ours from Club Direct with an additional premium to boost the bike up to any size - cost us about 1000 quid for two people for a year, mind. Its all a question of whether you think its worth it.
They did at least pay out for my wifes dental work in Arusha last year. Laughably they tried to disbar dental work from this years policy owing to her having a pre-existing condition. viz teeth

Hiya

Just to let you know there is a company called Campbell Ýrvine that has been doing this stuff for years. My worldwide cover costs me 400 odd uk pounds per annum and they seemed pretty good. A search on this site will give you the contact details.

The only downside is that you are not covered for countries with an FCO warning on them, like Pakistan for instance!! but i would imagine that is the same for all insurance policies.

Will

PS Ý should reach Pakistan in a month or so!!

Dave,

I've been looking around for insurance cover for a years travel and I ride a AT750. I've found these guys that say they can do it for around UK £300.00
Which is the best I've found so far.
When you talk to them explain what you are going to do and then ask where or not you are covered by Category one. Apparently riding a bike of over 125cc on RECOGNISED ROADS (Not unmarked Roads) is covered by category one.

Personally I have an insurrance with 'Interpartner Assistance'. Don't know if they exist in the UK.
They have a good cover for about 150 Euro's and last year your bike was also covered in Marocco. Off course the rest of the EU is also covered.
The personal part of the insurrance is broad and good worldwide.

I personally know a doctor who accompanies 'medic flights' for them. Wich I think is a good reference. They don't look after a penny if your in need of help or need to get home quickly.

In Belgium this insurance is for sure not the cheapest, but... (and this is just a personal opinion):

For my insurances I have this 'personal-insurance-broker' (is that how you call it?).
I look for best quality/price combination and I have to point out that some of Grants famous words go for insurances too:
You get what you pay for.
Out experience I know this is true.

I am not sure if this is what you wonna go cheap on. BEcause if you need them, you really do!
