Southern Africa Visas
 

I'm from the US, with residence in South Africa, where my bike is registered. Planning trip through Mozambique, to Zimbabwe, to Botswana and back to SA. Do I need to arrange any visas beforehand for these countries in this order, or can I just show up at each?

(also Lesotho and Swaziland thrown in, but I don't think they'll hassle me.)

Shouldn't be a problem since you've got a visa for S.A. In this case the neighbouring countries supply you with a visa upon passing the border.

In my case when entering Lesotho, Namibia and Botswana (I was in posession of a 3-month S.A. visa) the border officials wanted to know how long I intended to stay and terminated the visa accordingly.
