Question good deal or scam

we have just been quoted uk3800 (for 4-5 people)for the same route by trans himilaya who i believe have a very good reputation. your quote seems very cheap. i have read that there are people who get scammed into handing over money only to be left without guide etc. just thought i would post you a warning. but on the other hand if you use this guide and it turns out well please let me know as the price is fantastic.
good luck

Length of time

No one has mentioned how long you are going to take, that is key (plus your vehicles).

Steve who used to work for the Caravan cafe vouched for July/Waynes authenticity to me. But he (Steve) is now back in operation and is on this board as, I think, stevekashgar or similar. He and the caravan cafe had a great reputation when they were going and said that they used to contract out their work to July.

Have you seen Nessies quote earlier for a German agency. I think they are heading to China in April and have a very cheap guide. Worth following that one.

Cheers

July Xie

wow.. I have hired this person just about three months ago for to be our Guide for 14 days and he was the cheapest I found. we are driving around the world from USA, china, STANS, AZ, Europe and USA.
we are waiting for permits as July has applied. they supposed to be coming soon but it's makeing me nervous as my shipping date is coming close. I am not going to ship the car if I don't get the permit in time.
fingers crossed.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
