Slightly Confused About insurance.
 

Hi there,

As of 4th July I shall be driving to UB and back and was looking into what insurance is required.

Obviously vehicle and subsequently the green card for europe. I understand that from kazakhstan you can buy it on the border? Is this the case?

Further, World Nomads obviously seems very reasonable for personal protection and, although their policies cover medical expenses... does this count as adequate medical insurance?

Check what's coverd on your Green Card. The further east you go, the bigger requirement for it to be a green card rather than the A4 "international cert. of insurance" you get from UK companies. Ukraine will want to see a Green Card or you will have to buy at the border.
Get the insurance for Kaz on the Kaz side of the border.
Russia you get at its border also.
Moldova, if you go through it, should be on your GC. Transdinistra is best avoided:thumbdown: and will cost you more than just insurance!

I used WN. VERY helpful and refunded all my medical costs and my repatriation... Had to pay for the bike myself.
