Senegal 5 year rule - seems very flexible!
 

I crossed into Senegal last week at Diamma with a French car trader. He was able to obtain a laisser passer for the vehicle at the border, despite the vehicle being over 5 years old without any problems or baksheesh being paid. He mentioned he had done this route into Senegal several times recently despite the "5 year rule rule".

Seems like maybe this 5 year customs restriction is not being applied so stringently anymore?
