Round the World - Have I got things right?

Hi All

D-Day approaches and I cannot wait to be saddled up and on the road.

I am going through the Visa and Paperwork part at the minute and after a huge amount of research I have concluded the following.

I hope you learned eyes can look over and provide any up to date feedback and opinion.

I am a UK Citizen

Visas
USA - I have a Visa as I work in New York
Canada - Not Required for 180 Days
South Korea - Not Required for 90 Days
Russia - 6 Month Multi Entry Business Visa - Applied For
Mongolia - 30 Day Tourist Visa which I will obtain in Ulan Ude
Kazakhstan - 30 Day Tourist Visa I will apply for in Ulaanbaatar
Ukraine - Not Required
Slovakia - Not Required
Czech Republic - Not Required
Germany - Not Required
Belgium - Not Required
France - Not Required

A Carnet is not required for the entire trip

My main concern is Mongolia and Kazakhstan, making sure I can obtain visas at the above places, does anyone have recent experiences carrying a British Passport.

I am travelling solo and I am doing the trip in 120 days

If I missed anything or working incorrectly please yell at me

Thanks in advance everyone

Mongolian Visas seems to be simple enough to get on the road (we got one in a day in Amaty last year).

I assume that you are going from South Korea to Russia via the Dong Hae ferry ? If so you need to allow 2 or 3 days for clearance of your bike in Vlad and I would recommend using Yuri Melnikov to clear you through customs.

Also, when we were there in June/July 2011 (our bikes were delayed by 30 days !) tickets for the ferry were at times difficult for some guys to obtain because the ferry isn't huge and space sells out fast in the summer months so if you get a chance then prebook.

Martin

PS Our bikes came in by container not the ferry just in case you wondered.

Thanks Martin,

Are you not able to take your bike on the ferry?
