Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

Registering German bike in France with export plates
Hello all!
I recently bought an 84 CB650, registered it in Germany with export plates using my American address for three months, and bought insurance through ARISA at ADAC for 3 months.
I'm now here in Europe and was wondering how to register the bike in France so it has more permanant status. I speak French quite well but I'm not sure where to beging with the process.
A side not: Leaving Besancon on my way to the Alpes my license plate FLEW OFF the bike and is nowhere to be found - I made it safely to my destination without incident but I"m wondering if I'm going to need the actual export plate to register in France.
