Hi!
I am planning a trip from Alaska to South America and want be on a plane in about 2 weeks. If there were not so many aspects to think about. I want to buy a bike over there. I have the right to stay in the USA for 3 months (as long as I do not apply for 6, which would cost me another 3-4 weeks to maybe get it), in Canada for 6.
As I do not know the exact route nor the schedule (open) I would like to buy a one-way ticket.
What are your experiences with officers in the USA (esp.Alaska) or Canada(Vancouver). I am German, by the way, do not know if that influences the reactions...

I do not want to be sent home directly by any officer who does not like my nose.
Neither do I want to throw away money. Seems like neither embassies nor travel agencies can say so much about it.
Thought about buying an open return ticket from Santiago de Chile just to make my journey visible and to calm any officer down.
