Morocco Insurance

Hi Team

3rd party insurance in Morocco is available at the following rates for bikes.

2 weeks 60e
4 weeks 89e
Available at the TANGIER port on the right in a little kiosk. Quite a bit more than expected. so if you can get your UK insurance company to cover you my wife did via carole nash and it cost her no extra.

Hi,
Any information on obtaining 3rd party insurance at Ceuta?

braindead 5 Jan 2005 21:41

I went through Cetua last year and though didnt need insurance, I cant recall seeing any where to buy it at the border. The hassle in Tangier is over stated at this time of year and for a small donation 15 euro per bike I was wihiske through in under 20 minutes.

We then road down to Ashila on the aAtlantic coast for the evening, which is about 40km from the port and a whole other world peaceful freindly etc. If you ever want help there go to the little shop opposite the medina east gate , they spek fantastic english and love to help with no hassle to buy etc.

Hi, I went into morocco through Ceuta in 2002 and had to buy insurance there. I think it was about 65ish Euros for a month at that time but should imagine is the same as Tangier now

Cheers Fish.

Last yera 2003 I had cover through carole nash on a multibike policy and they reduced my fully comp cover to 3rd party only for the Morroco bit of the trip. Theft risk in Morocco outside of Tangier or the big cities is ery low in my experince. These bike bikes are litlle use to anyone as they can get spares or register them. Mugging is the only real risk as some one tried to do to me in loos at Tangier Port. Dont think he will be taking on any more Armour suited and enduro booted tourists in the future though.
