Mauritanian Visa - How long is it valid?

We plan to get our visas from the RIM embassy in London on the 24th September and will probably arrive in RIM about the beginning of November and plan to spend about 10 days in the country. It has just occured to me that visa may have expired by then.
Does anyone know how long the visas issued in London are valid for?

1. Isn't the RIM Embassy in London closed by then? I heard that it's closing soon
2. Think it's cheaper & less hassle for you in Casablanca ..?!

I spoke to the embassy yesterday and they confirmed that it closes on 30th September.
Also stated that visas are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays ONLY from 11.00am onwards and that it only takes 20-20 minutes to process !!!
We shall see :-)

I sent off for mine on either Wednesday or Thursday at 10am 'signed for' by royal mail (ie £1.20).

It was back with me by Saturday 10am (they had posted it back 'signed for' again) - ie it was either 48 hrs or 72 hrs and back with me - very efficient!

Also valid from 1st October for 3 months.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
