Leaving Peru - Bolivia without bike
 

HI, I am in Peru and need to return to the US for a month or 2. I would like to fly back, leave the bike in South America, preferably Peru or Bolivia, and return to finish out my trip.

Is this possible.

We left our 2 BMW R80GS motorbikes there for 4 weeks in October 2002,we travelled around Bolivia with our friends who came out to visit us during on our travels.
There were quite alot of Germans who had left their motorbikes there and gone home for a couple of months.
We never got charged any money but we did purchase new tyres from him. The mechanics are great as well, I had a crash in Peru and they hammered my handlebars back into shape.I paid them in a couple of cans of beer as per Walter´s instructions.
