Latest info on Chile to Argentina ?
 

Hey All,

Had a good search on the Hubb but cant seem to find up to date info for 2012.

Just wondering if my UK Bike/car licence (Card only) is enough to get me across the border from Chile to Argentina and back again later. I am already over in Santiago and can't get an IDP from here.

If borders are ok, what about the policia once inside the countries? Anyone out there had any issues?

You're asking if you need an IDP? No.

You're asking if it's changed since last year or the year before? No. If it had changed, you'd find people complaining about it. A non-issue.

If you get hassled about an IDP, you're either entering Guyana or being shaken down. Have convincing copies of your genuine documents and you're not vulnerable to this.

Ok thanks for that, good point...if noone is saying it, then its all good. No news is good news. My next step is to do a few copies of everything.
