Last place to get visa for India?

Hi people,

I'm going to India via Turkey, Iran and Pakistan. I've got a few questions about visas, since I've read some contradictory things on the HUBB:

a) can I enter Iran without a pakistan visa and get one at the border with pakistan for free (30 days tourist)?
b) can I enter Pakistan without a visa for India?
c) can I get my visa for India in Islamabad for sure?

Basically, I'd like to get all the visas as late as possible, but especially info about the Indian one is a bit confusing...

cheers,
Peter

PS. I know I need my iranian visa in advance, it's already on its way.

a) yes, unless you have a transit visa. I don't think you can get Pak visa at the border.

b) absolutely

c) I have read (here) from people who got their Indian visas in Islamabad.

Thanks for the clear and helpful reply! As I've noticed before, you're input to the HUBB proves invaluable once again!

One last thing about the visa for Pakistan, I guess Zahedan is the place to get it?

We'll be getting our Pak visas before the Iranian ones. I have read that it helps when applying for the Iranian visas, especially if they ask you about your intended route.

I don't know where in Iran you can get Pak visas, if at all.

Sorry I suddenly have to be so unhelpfull!

Hi,heard from traveller of UK and France that Visa in Teheran got denied.
Embassies quite scared of letting people drive through Pakistan. You need a special permission they don't give you in Teheran,
better get the visa in your homecountry.

Good luck!
