Hi, I'm entering Japan from Thailand soon and I'd like to know if anyone has been asked for proof of onward travel by the customs there?

As far as I know, CUSTOMS won't care about your onward travel. It is immingration at the airport that will ask. May airlines will require you buy a round-trip ticket or show reservations for onward travel.

Hi Fish- I'm very interested in knowing how you're getting from Thailand to Japan. After crossing Russia I'm looking at possibly doing this in reverse if China won't let me in. If you do fly to Japan we'd sure appreciate it if you'd put your experience on the shipping pages! Thanks loads, H.
