Iranian transit visa for UK passport holder
 

I am hoping to travel through Iran on my was to Central Asia this year and was looking for advice on getting a transit visa. When I last passed through in 1994 I just applied to the embassy in London and was issued one in a few days, but now people seem to go through visa agencies to get an authorization code but the LP website say that this is not needed for a transit visa, what is the situation? If I have to use an agency which one? I see from a previous post a few years ago Iranvisa.com was giving an unsatisfactory service to some people.

Not sure about Transit visa's but I imagine that the procedure was the same a tourist visa which has to be done via agency. The London Embassy has closed so your only option would be popping into Dublin embassy or find something on enroute like Germany or Turkey. You could wing it and turn up at the border and if see if they issue it but be prepared for let down if u try that route.
