Indian national going through Central America: tourist visas needed beforehand?

Hi all, I live in the US but have an Indian passport. I hope to go through Mexico, Gautemala, Honduras and Nicaragua on my bike. Do i need a visa stamped beforehand from a local CA consulate in the US or can i just show up at the border? Also, i hear about the 90 day access to the 4 CA countries. I understand thsi does not include the bike importation.

Also, my spanish being non-existent, is there any additional paperwork that i can get done here at a consulate that will save me some time and hassle at the borders in CA?

BTW, i will be riding a DL650. it has a free and clear title + registration in my name

You could try the Lonely Planet Thorntree forum, for specific information like that.

More backpackers than bikers and the visa rules are the same (-:

Maybe I'm missing something here, but can't you just phone up the consulates and ask?
