importing an Africa twin to the U.S.
 

I bought my africa twin in Cape town last July and have been riding it around africa and now south america ever since. I am in love with her and want to take her back to oregon with me. Has anyone imported an africa twin to the U.S.

I suggest you look for the official US website for importing, and get the info straight from source. I know that in the EU a stipulation is that the bike must be/have been on sale in the country you're exporting to. However, I cant say if this applies in the US. It might even be that different states have different rules.

One thing is for sure - it's a bike well worth importing.

Some have imported the AT into the US. It really depends on your local DMV/laws....

The AT is not on the import list so you it is not DOT/EPA approved but there are loopholes in our system and you might be able to get it imported....
