Health insurance for a UAE to UK trip
I'm planning for a UAE to UK trip whenever i can finally get my contract in Abu Dhabi complete, but i'm finding it difficult to source health cover for the trip back.
I've got the approval for an Iranian visa, but the local Iranian embassy in Abu Dhabi has told me that i need to show travel health insurance to them when i collect the visa and to be honest, i would like some in place anyway.
I've looked through endless threads on this subject on HU, but every recommended link that i go on has some reason why i cannot take that particular cover out - not starting the journey in the UK and traveling to a country (Iran) that is on the 'essential travel only' list on the UK Foreign Office website are the two most popular hurdles and when i look on a local website (AXA), they can issue an insurance at a reasonable price, but although i will be an Abu Dhabi resident when i take it out, when i leave here, my visa will have been cancelled and i'm therefore not covered
So, where next, any ideas please ?
