Hi.We're flying a bike from NZ to London to go round Europe next month.Can we get into Europe without a Green Card and buy it there, or can we buy it London.Cheers.

I took my bike into Europe last summer and this summer. Last summer, importing it into Paris, the customs guy didn't want to see the bike but wanted to see the green card (only). This summer, importing it into the UK, the customs guy wanted to see the ownership paper but didn't ask to see insurance.

So, it seems that it depends very much on the interest of the individual customs person.
